Camping Food Packing List

Nourish Your Spirit & Nourish Your Body.

This list is compiled of all my surefire favorite food basics that I’ve used on my camping trips.

All the food combinations possible, with just a few of these ingredients will assure you plenty of room for creative cooking freedom!

(no matter where you’re at)

Basics:

  1. Salt & Pepper
  2. Garlic Powder (& Fresh Garlic)
  3. Other Spices you prefer
  4. Large Bottle of Avocado Oil (better for cooking than Olive Oil)
  5. Peanut Butter
  6. Jelly
  7. Vegetable Broth
  8. Balsamic Glaze
  9. Oatmeal
  10. Chia Seeds
  11. Honey
  12. Coconut Milk
  13. Clarified Butter
  14. Soy Sauce
  15. Red Wine Vinegar
  16. Ketchup & Mayo Packets (easier storage/no refrigeration)
  17. Eggs
  18. Walnuts, Cashews (for Vegan Dishes)
  19. Cans of Chick Peas (Garbanzo Beans)
  20. Cans of Black Beans/other Beans (you prefer)
  21. Can of Peas (great with fried rice)
  22. Nutritional Yeast (Vegans need their cheese & B12 too)
  23. Cans of Favorite Soup
  24. Trail Mix

Fruits, Vegetables, & Staples:

  1. Lemons
  2. Tomatoes
  3. Cucumber
  4. Watermelon
  5. Onions
  6. Potatoes
  7. Large Bag of Rice (think Costco)
  8. Large Bag of Quinoa
  9. Bread
  10. Avocados
  11. Box of Mac & Cheese (I use GF)

Of course there is more than this. However these are in my opinion, the best options… because none of them need refrigeration. Mushrooms wilt fast, as do many other lovely fruits and veggies with just a little bit of heat. The ones listed above are much more sturdy than others.

Some great dishes & accompaniments you can make with some of the ingredients above:

  1. Fried Rice (my favorite)
  2. PB&J Sandwiches
  3. Avocado Toast
  4. Cucumber Salad
  5. Quinoa Burgers
  6. Hummus
  7. Cooked Chick Pea Snack
  8. Oatmeal Breakfast Pudding
  9. Vegan Mayo
  10. Vegan Cheese
  11. Stir Fry
  12. Fried Potatoes (hash browns with sauteed onions)
  13.  Avocado, Tomato, & Onion Sandwiches

And much more.

Of course if you wanted something else it’s very easy to run to the store. Just buy one or two more items to use right away, to add even further to the list. Like buying some mozzarella and basil to create a Caprese salad. With these basics covered on this list, you can make just about anything. Only needing to buy one or two more things at the store depending on what you feel like at the moment (so you don’t waste any food). Makes life easier.

I hope that this list leaves your belly full, and satisfied, while enjoying being deep within the forest.

Till next time!

Much love,

Sara
